Come the lady and the tyger,
come the swiftness and the sword,
the strong and sure will stand in honor,
the sinister and weak will fail.
We do not know the day or hour
that we may come to meet our fate.
But whether life or death awaits us,
I will turn and raise my blade,
my fierce companion at my side.
-verse by Carolyn Adams
Introducing Elle, the Elven Adventuress. The scene consists of six separate photographic images. Starting with the sky image supplied by the public domain site of the Hubble Space Telescope, an image of the ocean was set into the lower right corner. That, followed by the moon, the much modified castle, and a bit of painted in grass completed the background. After that the image of the heroine and her feline companion were merged into the scene. The work eventually consisted of over 25 layers before I was satisfied with the results. This was actually the first of the ReverieScapes I created and was, in many ways, the test case and prototype of the series.
